Canvases and brushes attract you, you want to express yourself artistically, and taking up abstract painting has become an obvious choice. But where to start? And above all: what will people say? I’m not a professional painter and I’m ashamed to show my work. <\/p>\n\n

Lack of confidence: overcoming the fear of others’ judgment<\/h2>\n\n

Self-confidence: you either have it or you don’t! Well, no, that’s not true. You need to work on your self-confidence.<\/p>\n\n

We all go through various self-questions. That’s not a big deal, unless it prevents you from taking up acrylic painting, and more specifically from \n creating abstract paintings<\/a>\n<\/strong> !<\/p>\n\n

I have no talent<\/h3>\n\n

You have ideas for acrylic paintings, you’d like to reproduce certain abstract motifs, you want to express yourself on canvas. But you don’t dare, because you’re not trained in abstract painting. You didn’t go to art school either…<\/p>\n\n

Well, that’s no problem at all! The result of your work will be the expression of YOUR talent. Personal, unique, real. <\/p>\n\n

There are really no standards or frameworks for saying that an abstract painting is “successful”, unlike (possibly) figurative art. <\/p>\n\n

There are, however, a few \n acrylic painting techniques<\/a>\n<\/strong> that allow you to become more at ease with the material, or to learn how to reproduce certain effects, for example, or how to mix colors.<\/p>\n\n

I am shy<\/h3>\n\n

Painting is an art that allows you to work on yourself if you feel introverted or shy. You create your painting on your own, focused on you and your feelings. You express yourself freely on your canvas. Then you’ll expose your work to the scrutiny of others. Know that no one can judge your emotions because they remain personal, and this will give you the strength to dare. Daring to embark on abstract painting. <\/p>\n\n

The gaze of others and their judgment<\/h3>\n\n

And here we are! Facing the gaze of others<\/strong> is never easy. What will people think of my abstract painting as an amateur painter compared to all the renowned artists? If that reassures you, start by revealing your creations to your family and friends. In this way, you’ll get into the habit of showing your paintings<\/strong>, and their benevolent gaze will help you to gradually come to terms with your art. In any case, remember that whatever the field, you can’t please everyone.<\/p>\n\n

Imposter syndrome<\/h3>\n\n

To the question “oh, have you taken up painting?”, you timidly stammer out “no no, I just did it like that, I don’t know how to paint, it’s just to try it”…<\/p>\n\n

Vous ne vous sentez pas l\u00e9gitime pour \u00eatre appel\u00e9 artiste ou peintre ou les deux. Sachez que ce qui est magique dans l\u2019art, c\u2019est qu\u2019il n\u2019y a aucune restriction, pas vraies “comp\u00e9tences” \u00e0 avoir ! L\u2019art est une activit\u00e9 cr\u00e9atrice fond\u00e9e sur les \u00e9motions de son concepteur. C\u2019est donc unique, profond et personnel.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n

Je n\u2019ai pas du mat\u00e9riel de professionnel<\/h2>\n\n

Que cela ne soit pas un frein \u00e0 votre motivation de peindre de l\u2019abstrait. Pour d\u00e9buter en peinture acrylique<\/a><\/strong>, tout fera l\u2019affaire ! Peu \u00e0 peu spontan\u00e9ment, vous verrez ! Vous aurez envie d\u2019essayer autre chose : peindre au couteau, vous essayer \u00e0 la technique “alla prima”, comprendre le m\u00e9lange des couleurs, donner du relief \u00e0 la peinture etc.<\/p>\n\n

Se lancer dans la peinture acrylique : osez l\u2019abstrait !<\/h2>\n\n

Pour vaincre le regard des autres et ne plus redouter le jugement sur vos tableaux, voici quelques conseils :\u00a0<\/p>\n\n

Prenez du recul !<\/h3>\n\n

Les d\u00e9buts, dans quelque domaine que ce soit ne sont jamais chose facile ! Il faut apprendre, se positionner, apprendre \u00e0 se positionner ! Vous aussi, changez votre regard sur les avis des autres ! Car en effet, ils peuvent \u00eatre positifs : les “critiques” sont aussi constructives. Elles peuvent vous aider \u00e0 progresser, \u00e0 vous affirmer dans votre style.<\/p>\n\n

Ne l\u00e2chez rien !<\/h3>\n\n

  • Listez ce qui vous a donn\u00e9 satisfaction et notez les points que souhaiter travailler davantage. Peindre de l\u2019abstrait, c\u2019est laisser libre cours \u00e0 son imagination, mais c\u2019est aussi gagner en technique.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n

    • Restez motiv\u00e9 et suivez vos objectifs : vous faire plaisir avant tout reste la meilleure mani\u00e8re de prendre confiance en vous et de progresser pas apr\u00e8s pas, \u00e0 votre rythme.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n

      L\u2019art abstrait ne peut pas \u00eatre consid\u00e9r\u00e9 de la m\u00eame mani\u00e8re qu\u2019une peinture figurative. La peinture abstraite ne renvoie \u00e0 aucun lien concret avec des \u00e9l\u00e9ments de la r\u00e9alit\u00e9. Il serait donc totalement abusif d\u2019avoir la pr\u00e9tention de juger une toile abstraite<\/strong> !<\/p>\n\n
