I&#8217;m going to show you a simple method I use, which will enable you to create a gradient easily, simply and without the use of superfluous equipment.<\/p>\n<h3>What you need to create your gradient<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Acrylic paint for color A<\/li>\n<li>Another acrylic paint for color B<\/li>\n<li>Water<\/li>\n<li>A spalter<em>(in my example it&#8217;s a size 75 spalter<\/em>)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>In my paint example, I use vermilion red and primary yellow.<\/em><\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3>Step 1: moisten the canvas<\/h3>\n<p>In this first example, we&#8217;ll create <strong>a linear gradient<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>To help your paint flow more smoothly and marry the two shades together, I recommend you dampen your canvas.<\/p>\n<p>There are <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">two ways to do this<\/span>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Either by applying water with your spalter<\/li>\n<li>Or by using a spray diffuser<em>(as in my video example<\/em>)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>  Step 2: Paint application<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Apply your paint (A) directly to the canvas on the left.<\/li>\n<li>Do the same with your paint (B) on the right-hand side.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2080\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cours-de-peinture.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/02.jpg\" alt=\"degraded put paint\" width=\"1185\" height=\"563\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.cours-de-peinture.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/02.jpg 1185w, https:\/\/www.cours-de-peinture.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/02-300x143.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.cours-de-peinture.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/02-768x365.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.cours-de-peinture.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/02-1024x487.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.cours-de-peinture.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/02-1080x513.jpg 1080w, https:\/\/www.cours-de-peinture.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/02-150x71.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1185px) 100vw, 1185px\" \/><\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3>Step 3: Application of color (B)<\/h3>\n<p>Take your spalter and apply your paint (B), in our case yellow paint, <strong>from top to<\/strong> bottom.<\/p>\n<p>Make sure there&#8217;s enough water on your canvas, otherwise you&#8217;ll have trouble spreading your paint and achieving your gradation.<\/p>\n<p>Continue applying your paint all the way to the center of the canvas. (B) penetrates the color (A). For example, we can create a radial or elliptical gradient.<\/p>\n<p>Unlike the linear gradient, the movement of this gradient is rounded.<\/p>\n<p>All you need to do is opt for a curved movement rather than an up-and-down one.
