Anthony Chambaud, I am a painter specialized in abstract painting.<\/h2>\n

My name is Anthony Chambaud and I’m a contemporary painter.<\/p>\n

I’m a self-taught painter and I taught myself abstract painting in a spirit of freedom and experimentation.<\/p>\n

What is abstract painting?<\/h2>\n

Abstract painting is an artistic movement that emerged around 1910. To put it simply, we can agree that Kandinsky <\/a>was the initiator of abstract painting and abstract art in general.<\/p>\n

Abstract painting is a technique opposed to figurative painting. Indeed, in an abstract painting, the aim is to leave room for emotions while achieving something non-figurative.<\/p>\n

Many people have trouble with abstract painting because they absolutely want to see “something” in it. This is human, as the body and mind seek to associate abstract forms with a figurative image belonging to the reader of the canvas.<\/p>\n

To appreciate an abstract work I think you have to keep it simple, step back and let go completely. Then it’s just a matter of analyzing the emotion obtained by contemplating the canvas.<\/p>\n

An abstract painting can be very powerful, combining effective shapes and colors.<\/p>\n

My vision of abstract painting<\/h2>\n

Just because we talk about abstraction doesn’t mean we have to do everything and anything. The aim of my work is also to find coherence in shapes and colors:<\/p>\n

In other words, I look for the right combination of shapes, I play with depth and light, and I’m also very fussy about color harmonies.<\/p>\n
