In fact, you don&#8217;t need a superb studio to be able to paint magnificent pictures. Nor should you postpone your beginnings just because you have no space, no studio, etc. My advice: <strong>get started wherever you are<\/strong>! Over time, you&#8217;ll see that you&#8217;ll be able to create your own space with all your materials. In fact, it&#8217;s great to have everything at hand when you&#8217;re painting. You don&#8217;t have to waste time looking for what you need. The creative impulse that drives you is not interrupted!      <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Equipment: what&#8217;s essential for painting?<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There&#8217;s no need to have tubes of every color available to get started with acrylic paint. To start with,<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cours-de-peinture.net\/en\/how-to-mix-acrylic-paint\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>the 3 primary colors<\/strong><\/a> are all you need. Free to choose your style, your colors, your motifs. There&#8217;s nothing you have to do to be a \u201cgood\u201d painter. You can have a studio of your own that&#8217;s worthy of the name, and for very <strong>little money<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What do you need to make a worktop?<\/h3>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"946\" height=\"588\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cours-de-peinture.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/image.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-12421\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.cours-de-peinture.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/image.png 946w, https:\/\/www.cours-de-peinture.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/image-547x340.png 547w, https:\/\/www.cours-de-peinture.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/image-768x477.png 768w, https:\/\/www.cours-de-peinture.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/image-320x200.png 320w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 946px) 100vw, 946px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>a little space or <strong>1 dedicated room<\/strong>. The advantage is that you don&#8217;t have to worry about dirtying furniture, walls or carpets, and you can enjoy the peace and quiet you need to let your inspiration flow undisturbed. It&#8217;s also practical to avoid having to clear everything away at the end, by depositing everything in tote boxes where it&#8217;s all jumbled together;  <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>a <strong>melamine-coated wooden board <\/strong>as a work surface. The dimensions can be adjusted according to the space you have available for your workspace. I chose 2 boards of size 170\/100 cm. This allows me to work on polyptychs or large frames without being constrained in my movements;   <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>chipboard<\/strong> to make a \u201cwall\u201d. It is used to hang all the equipment and protect the wall of the room! <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>stable <strong>table legs<\/strong> at the right height for you. It&#8217;s also important to paint painlessly. Sometimes you&#8217;ll spend several hours working on a creation with your back arched, and it&#8217;s not uncommon to feel some muscular tension. Think ergonomics \ud83d\udc4d!   <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to organize your painting supplies<\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the same way, storage is quite personal. However, here&#8217;s how I organize my painting equipment, which may give you some storage ideas.   <\/p>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Directly attached to the wall:<\/h4>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Arrange color tubes in<strong>chromatic order<\/strong>. Hang with hooks screwed into the chipboard; <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Also hang large, bulky tools such as <strong>spatulas<\/strong>. Hang them on the wall, facing you; <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>You&#8217;ll also need space to store masking tape, scotch tape, a protective mask (useful when spraying products) and a small hammer (for securing fasteners to the chassis).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">On small shelves:  <\/h4>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>I also store my various mediums: acrylic pouring mediums, thinners, molding paste materials, gesso, spray varnishes and liquid solvents. I also store my small pots of paint mixes of the moment, as well as larger pots of paint in bulk packaging; <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>store materials such as sand to make <strong>different textures<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>arrange my sprays.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Directly on the worktop:<\/h4>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>underneath the shelves, I put my <strong>heat gun<\/strong>, which I use to tighten <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pinterest.fr\/pin\/168040629830789754\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>stretch a canvas<\/strong><\/a>or <strong>dry paint faster<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>a <strong>storage rack<\/strong> for all my brushes, pencils, poscas etc. It&#8217;s mobile, not attached to the stand, so I can move it around the table depending on where I am. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\udca1 <strong>As for the lighting<\/strong>, I prefer spotlights just above the work surface, with a neutral, cool light, so as not to alter the perception of the colors once the painting is finished and displayed with a different light source.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In any case, you should know that when I started out, I made my paintings in my living room, on my little glass coffee table. Getting started in this way never dampened my motivation, on the contrary.
