To determine, with hard data, whether Singulart could really help me sell my artwork internationally.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The verdict can be summed up in one word: <strong>zero<\/strong>.<br\/>Zero sales in a year, despite a strong presence and works priced in line with the platform\u2019s pricing strategy. In this article, I\u2019ll tell you <strong>exactly<\/strong> what happened, compare it to my <strong>own sales on my website<\/strong>, and share a concrete action plan if you\u2019re hesitating to subscribe to a platform. <\/p>\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Background: Why I Wanted to Try Singulart<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For years, I\u2019ve been selling my paintings through <strong>my own ecosystem<\/strong> (website, social media, emails). The risk is <strong>shifted onto the artist<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3) Delivery billed by them, but handled without your involvement<\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Shipping costs<\/strong> are <strong>charged by the platform<\/strong> (often <strong>several hundred euros<\/strong> for works priced around 1,000 euros), <strong>and you have no control over them<\/strong>. Is it all about their reputation? Fine\u2014but that <strong>drives up<\/strong> the final price and <strong>complicates<\/strong> the sale.  <\/p>\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Promises of Visibility: The Gap Between the Pitch and Reality<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The press release highlights <strong>\u201c2 million visitors per month\u201d<\/strong> and <strong>12,000 artists<\/strong>. When I cross-reference audience estimates (such as those from traffic analysis tools), I get a figure closer to <strong>~800,000<\/strong> monthly visits. Few or no relevant emails. And then there was the \u201cone email too many\u201d: I was asked to <strong>create a link (backlink) from my website to my Singulart profile<\/strong> to \u201cboost visibility.\u201d<br\/>In SEO, this <strong>isn\u2019t a win-win<\/strong>: it mainly boosts their domain. Without strong curation and effective promotion, you&#8217;ll remain invisible. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Subscription + commission<\/strong>: the platform <strong>wins no matter what<\/strong>. <strong>You&#8217;re the one taking the risk<\/strong>. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Traffic \u2260 buyers<\/strong>: High traffic doesn&#8217;t necessarily indicate <strong>purchase intent<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Expensive and unclear shipping<\/strong>: It <strong>discourages<\/strong> purchases and <strong>undermines<\/strong> your pricing strategy.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Insufficient support<\/strong>: If \u201cexpert support\u201d amounts to nothing more than asking for a backlink, that\u2019s not enough.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">So\u2026 should we avoid all platforms?<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Not necessarily.
